Since 1998, Tina Dean has been blessed to work in the area she considers her true calling: adoption and the creation of families. Her professional experience includes program development and work to support families, teens and adults with mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as the elderly. Today, she serves as executive director of clinical services for our Texas and Florida adoption services.
Tina is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed child placing agency administrator (LCPAA). She holds a master’s degree in social work from California State University Long Beach and is a graduate of California State University Fullerton, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child development.
Working with the Orange County, California, adoption program, Tina Dean provided children with forever families when their first families were unable to care for them. Taking a particular interest in children with special needs, Tina found permanent family placements so that these special children would no longer be dependent upon foster care.
In 2001, Tina gave birth to her first child, Cody. To support his special needs, she continued to work part-time in adoption and counseling while serving as his full-time social worker. Today, Cody is an independent young man in medical school, on the path to become a pediatric anesthesiologist.
Tina now works full-time creating families and fulfilling others’ hopes through Legacy Adoption Services, co-leading both our Texas and Florida adoption services. She takes special joy in comforting and supporting mothers who reach out for help when facing unexpected pregnancies. This licensed adoption counselor also prioritizes ensuring that adopted children and their families know their origin stories and legacies.
Tina Dean and her husband, Todd, have a beautiful, blended family of five, including Danielle, Cody, Julianna, Callie and Madeline, and truly appreciate the importance of family.
